THE HUEFITS GUIDE

Find a palette that fits the way you dress.

For people exploring clothing often grouped as womenswear, a palette can connect separates, layers and one-piece outfits. Choose the garments you prefer; the collection does not define who can wear them.

Compare color, contrast and fabric together

A matte knit and a shiny blouse can look different even when their color names match. Begin with a blouse, T-shirt or cardigan near your face and compare softer and brighter versions of one color in consistent daylight.

Warm and cool undertones are styling descriptions, not diagnoses. Skin depth alone does not determine your undertone. HueFits includes a “Not sure” choice so you can start without deciding on a precise label.

Use separates to build flexible combinations

  • Everyday: an ivory knit with dark denim and neutral shoes. Try a muted green cardigan if you want a soft accent.
  • Work: navy trousers, a light blue blouse and a charcoal layer. Adjust the contrast and formality to suit your workplace.
  • A stronger accent: a berry or terracotta top with cream trousers or a neutral skirt. Compare the two accents against the same base before choosing.

These are examples, not a required shopping list. Skirts, trousers, dresses and tailoring are optional garment choices, not expectations tied to gender.

Plan one-piece outfits honestly

A dress or jumpsuit can simplify an outfit when it already fits your routine. Style What I Own can use an explicitly recorded one-piece garment with footwear. A coordinated top-and-bottom set is different: record the separate components if you want the generator to recombine them.

Keep a garment’s actual color when adding it to My Closet. Recommendations can change as you refine your palette without changing your saved clothes.

Keep preferences stronger than rules

Start with neutrals you like wearing, then add accents you can repeat across blouses, knitwear or layers. If a color feels too strong near your face, use it lower in the outfit or choose a softer variation rather than treating it as forbidden.

HueFits lets you favorite and hide colors, build a wardrobe plan and save outfit ideas without an account or photo upload. Suggestions are a practical starting point—not a guarantee about attractiveness, a scientific color diagnosis or a fixed seasonal identity.
